Sec. 110-149. B-2 central business district; purpose.
This B-2 business district is intended for the conduct of personal and business services and the general retail business of the community. Persons living in one community and in the surrounding trade territory require direct and frequent access. Traffic generated by the uses will be primarily passenger vehicles and only those trucks and commercial vehicles required for stocking and delivery of retail goods.

Sec. 110-150. Permitted uses in B-2 districts.
B-2 district permitted uses are as follows:
(1) Appliance repair shops, provided not more than five people may be engaged in the repair service, and no equipment is powered by greater than five horsepower motors. This does not authorize the manufacture of any item, article or product.
(2) Auction houses.
(3) Automotive parts and machine service.
(4) Bakeries and confectioneries.
(5) Banks and savings and loan companies.
(6) Barber shops and beauty parlors.
(7) Beer parlor, tavern or nightclub.
(8) Bicycle and motor-driven cycles and repair shops.
(9) Billiard hall.
(10) Book binding.
(11) Bowling alley.
(12) Clinics, not including the housing or treatment of animals.
(13) Custom tailoring, dressmaking and millinery.
(14) Drugstores, excluding any curb or parking lot deliveries of fountain items.
(15) Feedstores, not including the milling or grinding of feed products.
(16) Florist shop.
(17) Food and cold storage lockers.
(18) Grocery stores including supermarkets and dairy products stores.
(19) Hardware stores.
(20) Hotels.
(21) Laboratories, such as dental and optical.
(22) Lawn and garden service.
(23) Lodge halls and similar uses.
(24) Messenger, telephone and telegraph offices.
(25) Motor hotels.
(26) Offices.
(27) Package liquor stores.
(28) Painting and decorating shops.
(29) Parking lots.
(30) Pawnbroker.
(31) Photography shops and studio.
(32) Printing shops and newspaper plants.
(33) Public buildings and public uses.
(34) Radio stations.
(35) Railroad, bus and cab depots.
(36) Restaurant, not including drive-in facilities.
(37) Salesrooms and showrooms.
(38) Schools, business and commercial.
(39) Theaters, not including drive-ins.
(40) Undertaking establishments.
(41) Subject to all regulations otherwise provided in this chapter and other ordinances, advertising signs are permissible as regulated in section 110-223(b); billboards are prohibited.
(42) Other uses are permitted, which in the judgment of the planning commission, are of the same general character as those listed in this section, and which have been approved by the planning commission according to provisions of section 110-240.

Sec. 110-151. Conditional uses in B-2 districts.
B-2 district conditional uses are as follows: Light industrial uses, which do not constitute a nuisance by reason of noise, vibration, odor, dust, smoke, gas or other offensive conditions. (See section 110-226.)
