Location

Located deep in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Ava, Missouri is a thriving town with its eye on the future and yet it remains ever mindful of its past. We are a city that is recognized internationally as the world headquarters of the Missouri Fox Trotters Association, yet we are as down to earth and homespun as a Norman Rockwell painting.

On the state map, you will find us in the southwest portion with only one county separating us from the Arkansas border. Missouri Highway 5 runs vertically through our town and is intersected by Highway 14 and Highway 76. Some of our neighbors include, approximately 60 miles to the northwest, the metropolitan area of Springfield, and 55 miles southwest lies the entertainment mecca of Branson. To our south lies the lake country of Bull Shoals, Table Rock, and Taneycomo, garnering us the title of “Gateway to the Tri-Lakes”.
